 I am proud to be Canadian.
While
not a blindly patriotic person - I don't believe there is a
"best" country, I do feel that we Canadians live in a very
good, fair, just, and safe country. I can walk freely on the
Parliament grounds, and can even touch the front door of the Centre
Block at 2:00am if I want to. If I have an accident I can go to a
hospital without worry over the cost, and I am free to live my life as I
want to live it. Its not a perfect country - and I am politically
active to change what I don't like - but in all honestly I think we are
a very privileged nation.
